Roger & Pauline welcome you to a fantastic new CL site on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. A purpose built caravan park on a small farm offering a unique caravan experience for a CL site. Located in a secluded farming area with attractive field views and a maximum of 5 pitches being used at any one time this really is the place for a peaceful get away.
You can choose between hardstanding or grass super pitches. Each pitch is large enough for your caravan/motor home, awning and car! All of the pitches are fully serviced.
The on site facilities are outstanding with a beautiful unique custom built 5 star luxury amenity building, with under floor heating harnessing the latest technology in energy saving, with air source heat pump and solar panels. We have two large bathrooms each fitted with shower, toilet, handbasin, shaving point, hand dryer and hair dryer one of which is fully fitted for people with disabilities and is wheelchair accessible, also a separate WC room. There is a washing up room with 2 sinks and draining boards also accessible.
An information room for guests to find out what’s on offer locally and includes a bookcase filled with books that guests can borrow for the duration of their stay. There are some perfect places to read one of these books, maybe take a stroll around the hedge lined field, stopping half way at a bench conveniently placed. Sit in a little corner there to relax for a while, enjoying the tranquility and birdsong. Perhaps take a book over to the natural pond and find a bench there, or maybe the picnic benches…. The building has an office, which doubles up as a small shop facility supplying basic essentials including fresh milk, bread and free range eggs from a local smallholding (run by our daughter). Additionally the smallholding supplies free range rare breed sausages, bacon, burgers pork as well as lamb and more, perfect for morning fry ups and evening BBQ’s.
The site is dog friendly, there is a lovely safe walk around the large field and the dogs even have their own dog wash area and poo bag bin!
Barn Owl meadow gets it name from the barn owls that are often seen flying over the meadow and shares its home with other wildlife such as deer, hares, pheasants and winter time sheep in the field!
Barn Owl Meadow is situated on the Suffolk Norfolk border with Diss 9 miles away, Stowmarket 9 miles and the beautiful historic town of Bury St Edmunds, with its Cathedral, Abbey Gardens and market days on Wednesday and Saturdays, which is well worth a visit 15 miles.
If you want a relaxing break, in lovely countryside surrounded by nature with mod cons at your door step then this is the place for you.
